Do Visual Journals Play a Role in Your Art Program?

Updated: Mar 2, 2021

The mission of New Mexico Art Education Association includes promoting research in our field. Please take a moment to participate in this study by Dr. Sara Scott Shields, Associate Professor of Art Education, Florida State University, and Dr. Rebecca Williams, Assistant Professor of Art Education, Murray State University, titled Visual Journaling in Secondary Art Classrooms

Art teachers actively teaching art at a secondary school are invited to participate in an online research study conducted through Florida State University and Murray State University. The purpose of this research is to understand how 9-12th grade art teachers are using visual journals in their classrooms. The study activities include completing a 6 question survey. Survey responses are open-ended. After completing the questions, you can identify if you would like to to be contacted for a one hour follow up interview.

After participating be sure to post a comment here and let us know how it went!
