K-12 16th Annual Saving Endangered Species Youth Art Contest

The 16th Annual Saving Endangered Species Youth Art Contest is ongoing! The contest opened for entries in January, and we have already received hundreds of submissions from participating K-12 students. Participating students create artworks featuring threatened, endangered and recovered animals and plants, using a variety of media and techniques. This project provides all kinds of opportunities to learn about amazing land and water species found in the United States and US territorials. Students can explore the rich diversity of the natural world through their creativity and learn that art is a significant way to communicate a message of conservation and hope. It's not too late for students to participate this year; the final deadline for submissions is March 1st, 2021. For more information about the contest guidelines, prizes, and submission process, as well as past winners, visit: https://www.endangered.org/campaigns/endangered-species-day/saving-endangered-species-youth-art-contest This school year is presenting unique and exceptional challenges for students, educators, and families. We hope that this contest will be a fun outlet and that by participating in creating artwork students will connect to the beauty and enduring wonders of the natural world.
