NMAEA 2022 Fall Conference: Re-imagine, Recommit, Reconnect, Renew

November 4-6 re-imagine, recommit, reconnect, and renew at the NMAEA Fall Conference at the University of New Mexico with art educators from schools, community organizations, museums, and universities. Join us in celebrating our 50th anniversary, honoring excellence and sharing professional learning. 

Keynote Agnes Chavez

Our keynote speaker is New Mexico artist, Agnes Chavez, who merges art, science, and technology to develop empathy and new approaches to humanitarian and ecological challenges. She designs and delivers sci-art installations and STEAM programming for schools, art/science organizations and festivals. As the founder of the STEMarts Lab she has produced the STEMarts Curriculum Tool, an online platform that complements art and science festivals with STEAM teacher resources built around the work of curated artists.

Registration Information

Tickets may be purchased for $275 on or before October 21. Payment may be made using a credit card or valid institutional purchase order using the PO number from the organization's accounts payable department. This price is no longer available after October 21. 

No ticket sales will be available from October 22 to November 3. 

On the day of the conference, ticket sales will resume at the rate of $325, with payment by credit card, check, or purchase order accepted.

Meal Preference

Registration for the conference includes a catered meal during the awards ceremony. Meal preference information will be collected two weeks before the conference by Google Form. Ticketholders, check your email at that time for the link to the form.

Complimentary Membership Included with Registration (Optional)

Registration for the conference includes a complimentary, 12 months of membership in NMAEA, either new or added on to extend your current membership expiration date a year. 

Opt-out of membership at registration if you wish. Just let us know on your ticket information form at online registration.

We are an affiliate of the National Art Education Association with all benefits of national membership. For current members, expiration dates will be extended 12 months, and new members' start date will begin within one month of the conference or payment of conference registration, whichever comes later. Please let us know if you would like to decline the membership. The cost of the conference registration will be the same.

Group Orders and Purchase Orders 

Institutional purchasers may register up to 20 attendees with one order using credit card or valid purchase order number. Please be prepared to provide each individual's mailing address, telephone, and email, and to select a membership division for each of them as art educators (i.e., Elementary, Middle, Secondary, Museum, Admin, Preservice, Higher Education).
