Registration Policies

Purchase orders are required to register on sight at the conference.

You will need to bring a copy of your Purchase Order or pre-pay on your own.

Children are not permitted at the conference due to insurance liability.

If you contact our Treasurer prior to the start of the event, your cancellation will be honored.

If you "no call no show," you/ your district will be charged in full, No exceptions.

The Basics
UNIDOS EN EL ARTE!
This Year's 52nd Annual Fall Professional Development Conference will be held in Santa Fe, November 7-10, where we will unite in Art! Together, K-20 educators, museum educators, and visual, media and design educators will come together in a united stand for art advocacy, engagement and connection.

Thursday, November 7
A full day of museum education includes presentations of educational programming, gallery exhibition tours, and hot topic panel discussions at local museum locations.
Starting on the Plaza, at the NM Museum of Art, attendees will tour the Line by Line exhibition that will be followed by a lively discussion at the St Francis Auditorium. Next, everyone will go to the Rail Yard District at SITE Santa Fe for some maker moments, and finish at the Vladem Contemporary with guest speaker, Cristina Gonzalez.
Dinner is on your own.
In the evening, explore the engaging, interactive art installation at Meow Wolf, who is offering 25% off for NMAEA Attendees! Bring your badge!

Friday, November 8
A full day of Guest and Keynote Speakers, hands-on workshops, lectures and presentations at Santa Fe Community College. Evening studios sessions for professional skills, or off site events available.

Saturday, November 9
This full day continues at Santa Fe Community College and includes fun-packed Division Meetings (grade level) with focused discussions and hands-on explorations. The catered Professional Awards Brunch showcases our best educators in NM. Hands-on workshops, lectures and presentations fill the afternoon. The Annual Membership Meeting turns into a Pizza Party (Hazzah!) with suitcase sales, maker moments and more! Evening studios sessions for professional skills, or off site events available.

Sunday, November 10
Closing out our weekend, we're offsite at The International Folk Art Museum and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, located on Museum Hill.

Annual Professional Development
Conference
The 2024 Call for Proposals in now open. We will be accepting proposals for up to 40 presentations, hands-on studio workshops, lectures, and proposed panel discussions, through July 15th.
​
Applicants need to have a shareable lesson plan, including noted standards and assessment, as well as relevant resources for all session participants. Can include digital, printed or both versions.
